#101

Today we play a whole bunch of new pieces for band, which included a swing-style piece, a baroque piece by Handel, and a Ballet by a composer whose name I cannot recall. It was really fun sightreading all those music.
Then, we had a substitute teacher for French. She had a really strong Quebec accent, which was very interesting because I have never been exposed to Quebec accent for a long period of time, and it helped me distinguish between hers and Mme Chang's France accent.
In Science we talked about Gravity and Newton's Three Laws. Then we did a lab to measure the exact gravitational constant, which is supposed to be 9.8 N.
Finally, we read a short story by Alice Munro called When We Were Young. It was about the difficulties of a teenage girl in the 1940s. It was very interesting to see what a 1940s high school was like.
